When I export a 2D line drawing from Rhinoceros (V2.0) as an .ai file, it shows just as an bounding box in Freehand. When I open it in Adobe Illustrator and copy-paste it into Freehand, everything´s alright.

Btw, Freehand won´t read .dxf files created in the same way either.

Anyone an idea on what I might try?

Try changing the creator code to 'ttxt' with a file typer utility then
FreeHand should import the file OK. Hope this helps.

Cheers
